The Sweet Sorrow Collection

The Sweet Sorrow Collection is about life itself. The life in which we find things important, miss things, admire and appreciate things.  Sweet Sorrow catches the transiency of our life in one term. You often start missing something when you have lose it.  Snow is such an exemple of fleetingness. There's so much going on in this world that it is about to become a rare substance. Snowmen are symbols for a creativity that, in the near future, might only be remembered stories.

Sweet Sorrow is about things that we must use sparingly because the availability of it is not a matter of course!

The Snowman Lady

The Snowman Lady is creator an initiator of the Sweet Sorrow ideas, a worldview in which the transiency of the world is addressed. She is the author of 'Journey to Snowmanland' (2010) and 'Stories of the Past' (2012), two books that explore how Shakespeare's words and insights are combined with paintings and ideas.  For the third year in a row, she organised the 'Sweet Sorrow Awards', a contest for talented vocalists in Netherland. Spreading the sweet sorrow idea, this contest is open to everyone who wants to go on stage.
